Community Lincs TED team celebrate Lincolnshire Live Business Award nominationsLorraine Bellis, Chair of Community Lincs Board of Trustees, commented, “This is just fantastic news, as a charity working across the county we are honoured and excited to have our vital work recognised by the Lincolnshire Live Business Awards!

Over the last year our TED Ageing Better in East Lindsey Programme has gone from strength-to-strength, its innovative approach is playing a key role in supporting older people across the district who are experiencing loneliness and isolation. TED really is changing lives and we are thrilled that the programme has been shortlisted.”

The innovative approach taken by TED and the resulting success of the programme to date has seen Community Lincs’ TED programme and East Lindsey District Council form a unique formal partnership; working together towards achieving Age-friendly Community status for the East Lindsey District as recognised by the World Health Organisation (WHO) Global Network for Age-friendly Cities and Communities.

Lorraine continued, “We are also thrilled that our CEO, Gail, has been shortlisted in the Business Person of the Year Category. Gail has worked tirelessly since joining us at Community Lincs, in 2017, and has revitalised the organisation, refocusing and reenergising our work to ensure we are ambitious and outward looking and continue to provide the best possible services to the people and communities we serve.”
