The first Afternoon Tea with T.E.D event took place at The Storehouse on 26th April from 1 – 3pm. As well as enjoying tea, coffee and cakes people were able to make new friends and talk to service providers who attended. The highlight of the event was the demonstration of fun exercise by the Exercise to Music group from Burgh Le Marsh, led by Dave Fenton. The group runs in Burgh Le Marsh on Fridays at 11pm from the WI Hall in Orby Road and is well-attended. The group were all easily identified by the bright pink t-shirts they wore - even Dave! - and with the slogan of ‘Use It Or Lose It’ on the back of the t-shirt and a good selection of catchy tunes many attendees were encouraged to get up and joined in for a few of the songs!

The afternoon was enjoyed by all and comments such as ‘It’s a great way to meet new people’ and ‘what’s next?’ reflected the positive feedback received about the session. The next Tea with T.E.D. sessions are:

Tuesday 17th May, 1pm to 3pm at Trinity Centre, Louth

Thursday 19th May, 1pm to 3pm at The Coastal centre, Mablethorpe

Tuesday 24th May, 1pm to 3pm at The Storehouse, Skegness

Or why not come along to our next Pop-up Café on Thursday 26th May, at Maltby Le Marsh Village Hall.
